The future of social media marketing is gradually shifting in to videos and this is the reason social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter are gradually restructuring to accommodate more video content, the good thing about Instagram is that they listen to what their users need and deliver.
If you have not yet noticed, some videos on Instagram have been going beyond the 15 second cap. Instagram now allows its users to tell their stories in up to 60 seconds of video.…and they say it is one step of many that users will get to see this year.
Allowing users tell their stories for long became inevitable because “in the last six months, the time people spent watching video increased by more than 40 percent,” Instagram stated in a blogpost.
The best time to learn video editing to add your business on social media is now judging from all these facts. Get on board fast before you are left behind.
With the 60 seconds of video feature, users can now enjoy even mean more diverse stories from the accounts they follow.
The feature started rolling out this week.
iOS users are even getting more. The ability to make videos out of multiple clips from their camera roll has been brought back. This feature will be available this week in Apple’s App Store as part of Instagram for iOS version 7.19.
The move is particularly interesting in that it moves away from the 10-second time limit popular in apps like Snapchat and inches Instagram closer to YouTube territory.
Think about it, with a time limit of one minute, clever video producers could easily begin crafting even more elaborate mini-documentaries of their lives or brands, one one-minute snapshot at a time.
For anyone who lives on Instagram, this is an absolutely seductive update that could pull them even further away from the video confines of YouTube.
However, it is only available to influencers and verified accounts for now, in few months it will be open to all.
